Quantum Immortality

I wouldn’t call this a special interest, but I’ve acquired information on this subject that I just Must Expell. Idk if it’s called an infodump if it’s not about a SpIn, but whatever this is, it’s here. It’s basically just me regurgitating information I heard in a conspiracy iceberg video, but I feel lighter after writing it. I did a bit of my own research as well.

Just so you know, this will involve themes of existentialism. I’ve heard of people becoming very disturbed by this concept, so please read at your own risk. There will also be mentions of death.

Manzel - String Theory

If string theory is right, the microscopic fabric of our universe is a richly intertwined multidimensional labyrinth within which the strings of the universe endlessly twist and vibrate, rhythmically beating out the laws of the cosmos.

Paradox and Multiverse

While reading an article regarding time travel you might have come across something called the “grandfather paradox”; basically grandfather paradox is a hypothetical scenario that makes time travel seem spurious. To get the basic idea of the grandfather paradox consider this example- A time-traveler named George goes back in time and kills his grandfather before his father was conceived George’s father wouldn’t exist meaning George wouldn’t exist that means his grandfather exists, and now that his grandfather exists George and his father exists too and it goes in an infinite loop.

In my opinion, the paradox is shady and outdated. If you apply Erwin Schrödinger’s cat experiment and Quantum superposition the loop would break. Schrödinger’s cat experiment states the following hypothetical set-up.

A cat, a flask of poison, and a radioactive source are placed in a sealed box. If an internal monitor detects radioactivity (i.e. a single atom decaying), the flask is shattered, releasing the poison, which kills the cat. The Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics implies that after a while, the cat is simultaneously alive and dead. Yet, when one looks in the box, one sees the cat either alive or dead, not both alive and dead, Quantum superposition states that a body can co-exist in two or more spaces simultaneously. So, what actually happens after your grandfather is killed the timeline or ‘reality’ itself splits into two parts in one where you exist and another where your grandfather does this is where the idea of multiverse or multiple-universe comes in. You can clearly observe theories of Quantum mechanics being applied to General relativity which leads to the formation of a new theory called Quantum relativity. We have two possible candidates for the theory of quantum relativity Loop Quantum Gravity (LQG) and Superstring theory (m-theory).

On application of fundamental principles to the classic realm or rather to the fabric of space-time to be more precise, we can infer multiverse existing as a result of quantum fluctuations in space-time.

Parallel universes can be imagined as two ends of a horizon that never meet unless they’re connected by some tunnel.

Ironically Albert einstein mocked the study of quantum mechanics saying “God doesn’t play dice with the universe” and now scientists are trying to unify his theories with quantum mechanics.

garden gnomes are one of the most under utilised products out there

yes you can put them in your garden as decoration, but there is something absolutely terrifying about them, that is basically a gold mine

i’m just saying put them in your car, who will want to break into a car with 17 garden gnomes just propped up in the back seat, all with seat belts on as if they were living things

or put them in your bedroom window, no wants to creep on someone when they see a garden gnome staring back
